Roy uses the Prototype Veritech in a public demonstration above Macross City but before Wilbur can detonate the device in it, a fire breaks out in a building. Wilbur recalls how his wife died in a similar event during the Macross Incident and hesitates on Edwards' plan as Roy goes in to help the people. Edwards, thinking Wilbur has followed through, sneaks in the SDF-1 and uses a Camcorder he convinced security was a Calculator to get footage to sell, but encounters a mysterious being calling for Zor and finds himself outside without his recorder. Wilbur realizes that the people were saved because of the Alien Tech and reconsiders his path. One week later, Fokker had returned from his vacation and was debriefed by Gloval. The device on the Veritech is discovered and assumed to be from Faithful and Roy reunited with Claudia. On the planet, Dolza saves Zor's body from a fire caused by Khyron as Khyron and his men clean out the remaining Invid. Breetai clashes with Khyron but Dolza calls them off and they return to Dolza's Fortress where they use data from Zor's Brain to find the area that the SDF-1 was sent. Breetai, Exedore, and Khyron are then assigned the mission to find it, much to the dismay of Breetai.
