The epic Katsuhiro Otomo movie AKIRA has finally the ultimate 'behind the scenes' book it deserved for a long time. Akira Animation Archives dives deep more than a decade ago in the production of the movie that defined a period in the japanese animation. This book contains hundreds of production drawings, concept art, background paints, layouts and storyborads with interviews and comments by the director Katsuhiro Otomo (大友 克洋), the chief animators Takashi Nakamura (なかむら たかし) and Koji Morimoto (森本 晃司) and the key animators Toshiyuki Inoue (井上 俊之), Hiroyuki Okiura (沖浦 啓之) and Hiroyuki Kitakubo (北久保 弘之)
